Is this a good welder?
Sup guys i was wondering if this mig welder would be a good investment? Its primary uses would be for exhaust tubing. Being that its fairly cheap im kinda weary on buying it but i have heard good things about this brand. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks -pablo

Heres the link. http://www.build.com/campbell-hausfeld-wg206000av-115v-wire-feed-welder-mig-flux-core/p627556

Save your money and buy a Lincoln or Miller.

Also look at the Hobart 135/140 MIG welder. We use a Hobart 135 that's at least 8 years old and still works great for smaller lighter stuff.

I would look for a good mig that will accept a bottle , I am not a fan of the flux core welders...I got a TIG for Xmas , and I have yet to even fire it up ...even after hanging out @ lovefab and playing around a bit , I am still a little intimated ....but back on subject I would save some more money and get MIG that could take advantage of a bottle....from Hobart, Lincoln or Miller

It probably would work for occaisional use. If you're looking for one that will see daily use, or every other day, then get a Lincoln or Miller. A good Miller or Lincoln unit will cost about double, but you get what you pay for. Especially with welders. A Miller or Lincoln will most likely last nearly a lifetime under moderate use.

I bought a Lincoln PowerMIG 140 for a little over $400 new.

It says that it does accept gas.

I dont plan on alot of use if anything just for fixing the exhaust leaks on the cars in my houshold. This will be my first attempt at welding so im not completly sure what to look for in a welder.

they even let you bring in projects and all you have to provide is the material. it's a great way to learn.
