Here a tip if your going run one. Leave the thermostat in and drill 3-4 holes. If you take out the thermostat, it will take forever to get up to normal operating temp and wild temp swing. The thermostat helps both situation.
My engine does not get over 150F even with the adjustable thermo switch for the pump. When I get off the freeway and shift to neutral to cruise for a half mile, the needle for the temp gauage would slowly move down like a tachometer, kind of freaky.

FYI...it's under $200 if you send them an alternator to upgrade (increases your rating 80amps). My '02 Sport alternator is 180amps now.
I'm getting mine from the same place. Pretty convenient since they're in Socal.
