Thanks Vadim.

Going to get this done ASAP while the motor is out. Was thinking of making the line longer and giving it a single loop to allow for flex and ease of installation.

Question on manual rack conversion: I'm sure there was a thread somewhere showing someone loosing hp by switching to the manual rack. It seems counterintuitive. Anyone got info on that?

Loop is fine, just keep in mind that the SS hoses tend to rub holes in things if they touch them.

No idea on manual racks sorry.

Vadim where did you get the fittings from? I can't find them locally. May need to import them.

The initial fittings came with a kit, other 45* bends came locally.

Here you go, from my NX thread:

Thankfully, within Vadim's thread another thread comes up http://www.sr20-forum.com/general-maintenance/44637-how-make-your-own-power-steering-high-pressure-hose.html and from there we get all the required information

So you need a 2ft hose and the pump is a m16X1.5 fitting while the rack uses a m14X1.5 fitting.

With this information I googled where I could get such a hose made locally, found a place and went there. Unfortunately, they could make me the hose but they did not carry metric fitting at all. So I had the hose made and was planning to search at home depot and the like for the adapters. Luckily down the street from where I got the hose there was another place that did carry metric adapters.
This is what I ended up with, at a cost of about $68.

I will be installing it later today, and we'll see how it goes.

Wow, that looks like a good deal. Where did you get the 2ft hose from though? i've been searching and the part number you list is for a 6ft length.

Did you get this all installed? if so, how long has it lasted?

My pressure side line has been leaking for a while. A small leak, but irritating and messy nonetheless. hehe.

The part numbers and such were provided by Canx2k in his how to thread.
All I took from his thread was what I needed to have it made at a local hydraulic hose shop(technically a forklift repair center in my case). The hose they gave me is rated to 11,500 PSI, tons more than I will ever need, plus I wanted the perfect crimp that only a good shop can give it.

Seriously, just go to a local hydraulic hose shop tell them you need a 2Ft hose with 90degree -6an fittings facing opposite directions.
Just wait a few minutes and you walk out with it, no waiting on shipping or anything; easier than putting together a hose/fittings on my own, in my opinion, also.

If you're going this route just make sure to get the m14x1.5 o-ring fitting otherwise it will leak all over the place.
The m16 one doesnt need an o-ring.

And I've had this on my car since February, no issues with it.
