I don't consider myself nobody, but I still don't remember the begging needed for track day sign up. Apparently I am totally oblivious right here.

I don't mind paying track days, picnics, or anything else in advance. Gotta pay to play.

And not to be confused with "complaining", I am only interested in having a blast at Conventions. I've always made it clear that I genuinely appreciate all the efforts of the Organizers.

One of my first "holy shit, I love Conventions" moment was riding shotgun on the road course track in Savannah with Chriscar at the helm of his Classic.

So, can we discuss how to make track days happen without pointing fingers, blaming anyone, complaining, getting really defensive, insulting each other or bitching? Please.

@SE-Rican and @Chriscar are you telling me that road course track days are just not going to happen at future Conventions? You both see it as a totally futile effort?

My opinion, Raul @OptimumSE-R needs to be considered for 2016 to host his convention on a National Level. He has a formula that works and hosted one of the best conventions I ever attended. So well organized and thought out. It was probably the best weekend I ever had. You guys who couldn't make it really missed out you have no idea. (yes I know its far from some of you)

For those who are hung up on the roadcourse issues ,consider the West Coast Convention. (rent a car or just ride as a passenger.

Still too early to discuss 2016 when we still need to figure out 2015.

Thank you for your kind words, @LOUROK .

I would like to know more about the requirements in renting a track...I realize it may not be the same at every venue but the basics.

For example, I've recently learned that an LLC is required, as well as liability insurance. What are some average costs associated with these? Other necessary requirements? EMS? Pros/instructors?

And do I understand correctly that if I wanted to rent a track in, let's say, June of 2016, all funds would need to be fronted ASAP?

You also need to secure the track with a DEPOSIT.
That by itself seems like the biggest obstacle for organizers. I don't imagine anyone wants to get stuck coming out of pocket.

With all that said future track days at the convention have three feasible options.
1. Piggyback with another groups that has rented a track.
2. Due to low enrollment. Open up our track day to other forums and clubs. Have it setup far in advance for folks to pay.
3. Not have a track day any longer and make sure it is crystal clear upfront when posting convention info.

I don't believe there are other options.

This is what I am trying to talk about. Emotion has overruled in this case.

Do you guys remember in '12 convention when that 2000~ish Eclipse swung around backwards and came right at a bunch of us the wrong way?? That scarred me for like, 2 years. After we talked later it turned out the guys tires were basically bald. Don't know how he got past tech.

There was no tech inspection in 2012. (if you are talking about Nelson Ledges)

Nelson Ledges requires All Terrain tires and 12" of ground clearance.

My b14 would probably lose an oil pan being kind of low to the ground.
