when I road out to California, and stopped a night in Albequerque in Jan 2009, I did 14 hours from KC to Albequerque, then turned around the next morning and rode another 14 hours back to Little Rock, AR when I decided not to go to Cali..

i can't imagine going another 3 hours that night after going for 14 hours.

Oh I might just do that just for the bbq! I was working in KC last year and a local guy tht I worked with took me to a few bbq places and arthur bryants was amazing! Their sauce was horrible imo but the meat was great.

Funny, that's the thing I hated about it. It was too sweet. I tried the other two that they had that was suppoed to be hot, but it just didn't have good flavor to me. Walmart sells this bbq sauce called head country, put a few table spoons of cayenne pepper in it and its perfect

I actually took my personal bottle of sauce in there the second and third time I went that week to eat

if you got the "sweet heat" ya, it's sweet.. but I get the "original" sauce..

sweet heat is not their original sauce

here's their good stuff:

It has a completely different flavor than what you get in Texas, to me, the texas stuff is more like a KC Masterpiece flavor.. usually sweeter and not tangy at all.. it's an acquired taste really, like going from Bud Light to a full flavored IPA..
