I just rented a 2010 Mazda 3 from enterprise and I love it. Drive's very sporty and has a lot of tq. Plus it has a 5 speed auto stick. Very nice car. Much more fun then my old b15. Tomorrow is my last day with it.

Just remember, for you guys that might be renting from hertz, if they offer you an upgrade, they might say something like, that g35 is another 20 a day, you waiver, say nah, that's too much. Then they will say something like, well, the computer says 20, but i can go as low as 15 a day. It's all bull****, they just want you to think you are really cutting them a deal. That person behind the counter can do whatever they want. The minimum for an upgrade to another car is $5 a day, no matter what they say.
They will only go as low as they believe someone else will pay for it though. They could just give it to you, that price means nothing. They can charge whatever they want for the most part. I've charged someone 18 a day for some ****ty economy car, i've charged 60 a day for the same car to someone else.

that is right on the money I worked for enterprise for nearly 4 years and we would upgrade people for as little as 2 dollars a day. there is unfortunately no way to guarantee to rent a specific car so that would knock them out. and as for the mazda 6 I had one for a weekend when I went to rockingham for a track day and it did somewhat well for the size car it is so if you get stuck with it you should still have fun

Word of advice. I'd also take the plates off the rental once you are at the track. I once did an auto-x with a dealer loaner car. (took the plates off) one of the service employees who was spectator recognized the car and told the manager. I got a call the next day asking my where-abouts. I told them I was at the beach all day on the north shore (I was living in Hawaii at the time) They said the car had no plates on it... so they weren't 100% sure if it was me... I told them I'd come down and show them the sand in the car. Then played stupid and said "is it even legal to drive without plates?" He explained to me that it was at an autocross. I then asked what an Autocross was… They dropped the issue. Close call…

Hehe, I was just going to mention the plates.

I remember Greg's lowriding Jag at the 05 convention

Hey Will. It's probably more economical for you to rent a car, but you're once again welcome to take the G. It's not much more than a dirt-covered hunk, but it does drive nicely and handle proper. You can use it for the price of gas, and a bottle of Castrol+OEM filter...oh, and anything you break.

Damn, Guess I'm a little late on this... I won't make it to GRM anyway, so that probably won't work. I really appreciate it though. I really want a ride in the b14, havn't seen it since it was still not running.
