ok that did the trick, I'm very convinced. Should I just call the Hertz and reserve it? you think they will have any problem renting a vette to a 23 year old kid with poofy hair? If I reserve it can they turn me down when I get there?

You may have waited too long. I'm seeing them as all sold out from the savannah international airport. And you can usually only get the corvette at the big airports. And don't call them to book the reservation. Book It online. If they are like us, then they will try to give you a higher rate. We always start high when making reservations on the phone

damn do they rent any other sports cars? I was really trying to get my car there but physics and Calc 3 are just sucking up all my time.

I spoke to Hertz, they said the vette may be available but I will not be able to find out until I get there sounds like they want to make the call on whether or not they want to rent me the car after they have gotten a look at me.

I reserved the Mazda 6, I will see about something nicer when I get there but I doubt they will have it or want to give it to me.

if you are willing to pay they will give it to you. We work on commission.

Just remember, for you guys that might be renting from hertz, if they offer you an upgrade, they might say something like, that g35 is another 20 a day, you waiver, say nah, that's too much. Then they will say something like, well, the computer says 20, but i can go as low as 15 a day. It's all bull****, they just want you to think you are really cutting them a deal. That person behind the counter can do whatever they want. The minimum for an upgrade to another car is $5 a day, no matter what they say.
They will only go as low as they believe someone else will pay for it though. They could just give it to you, that price means nothing. They can charge whatever they want for the most part. I've charged someone 18 a day for some ****ty economy car, i've charged 60 a day for the same car to someone else.

I remember a story a while back about someone renting an Altima for the convention, and then installed a nitrous system on it for the weekend. There were pics and everything. I want to say it was Jason Young or some such, but It's been a long time ago, like '99 or '00 or something.

Hasn't been done at one of our conventions. There was a story back a LONG time ago in one of the car magazines about someone doing that to a rental (I think) Neon. We talked about NOS'ing a rental but it's never been done at an SE-R convention
