Got mine for 65 shipped off ebay bnib. Plain gloss black, fits good, looks good, clear shield. Its Snell 2005 approved which is all I care about since E-town broke my balls over my buddy's 700$ helmet he let me borrow that he uses when he rides his crotch rocket.

So passengers will also need a helmet correct? I'm not bringing my car but would LOVE to get some seat time with a competent driver like Nate or others.

Yep get a SA helmet. Sadly I don't think I will be bringing good tires up... Mine are going to be to wires by then and no stock to order new until after convention.... Going to be on some crap tires for fun unless I can steal some rims the night before

Stratton go to G-Force's web site for sizing: G-FORCE Racing Gear - Helmet Sizing Chart
This might be clearer: http://www.soloracer.com/gforcesizing.html
Or this: http://www.northstarmotorsports.com/charts/size-chart-gforce-helmet.html

You can measure your head and make sure you buy the right size. Worked great for me.

My wife will be the first to tell you I am a complete ass but I am surprised by the helmet talk or lack thereof...

We are talking about being in a car going in excess of 100MPH on a road course, of COURSE everyone in the car will need proper safety gear, a helmet!

If you are going to buy a helmet it is OK to be thrifty but do NOT be cheap! We are talking about protecting our heads here people, it's not like we're talking about knee pads or wrist guards for rollerblading.

Cliff had a good idea for me. Since I only plan to get seat time I'm just going to buy a head sock and borrow someone's helmet if I can't find one from a friend before the convention.
