Thread: I have a question for the Texas folk

And if I remember correctly, Austin is the #1 city in the US for job opportunities....just sayin. I like being close to Austin but not *IN* Austin.

Austin does a have a lot of jobs, but mechanical engineering stuff seems to be sort of slim there (at least as far as I can tell).

There is a ton of engineering places in DFW. In Arlington alone there is Bell Lockheed Martin. Also, Many OEM for certain types of equipment are in Arlington Pratt & Whitney, Glidepath, Transnorm, Saffron, Siemens, etc... I know in Plano is Raytheon I know I'm biased but I would go to DFW.

Austin is where it's at!

Ha ha, battle of the cities!

There's nothing to battle.. Traffic enough will make you decide to stay away from DFW area, and Houston. BUT Austin, and San Anto aren't too far behind.

Can't be any worse than where I've lived in the past, lol. Traffic does suck though...
