Tuners in DFW
So who can recommend a good tuner in the DFW? Or even as far as Denton or Waco?

I'd eventually want to get John or Mr. Marsh to tune my NX, but seeing as they're half way across the country that's a little hard at the moment.
Can anyone recommend a good tuner?

I'm running a Nemu RT; but also have a Calum basic on hand that could be used(although I'd need to get an RPM switch to run VVL with the basic).

Tuners in DFW
I had mine tuned from keith at AWDtuning in flower mound. He did a great job very reasonable and worked around all the open source stuff. The only bad thing was he was late for the appointment. But Keith knows his stuff.

I'd stay away from AWD and Keith. They have screwed alot of people over. I wouldn't even recommend him for Subaru stuff anymore. :offended:

Do you have the NEMU in the car and setup? If so I might be able to donate a few hours after I'm done with my car.

I can help facilitate a tune from Marsh here too.

Tuners in DFW
I agree with part of that the way the shop is ran and the parts bin deadlines they do is very iffy and they are very unprofessional. I would never tell someone to have work done there however, finding someone you can trust with a good tune that is willing to work with an unknown open source package at a reasonable price id trust Keith. I agree though the shop is very unprofessional and he was late but he didn't finish until the tune was rock solid even when tunerpro was acting glitchy most shops would say get a real ecu and stop wasting my time. As far as DFW he is the only person i would recommend but definitely for tuning only as they do some crazy stuff in the shop

For sure he is the most open to work on unknown packages at resonable prices compared to anybody else... But he also has lots of "issues" with these systems that people who know them don't have.

You are hurting my feelings though. I've tuned plenty of these cars/engines... I just don't do it for a living and refuse to do general auto tech work.

I would recommend Kevin at EvoD, but then your car might roll over.

Yea I have the NEMU in the car, it's been running for like the last month.
I also have the Innovate MTX-L hooked up to it.

And any help would be appreciated!

I googled for tuners in the DFW, but of course everyone was for Honda or not working with things like the NEMU.

Take Nathan up on his offer!

Nathan how was the track in Austin? I want to drive on it at least once to see what a world class facility is like.

COTA was awesome. CTS-Vs.... Not so much. I lucked out getting the manual trans one on one of my outtings and that made it suck less. However I got stuck in traffic and didn't get any clean laps in the car. They made us leave the nannies on so wasn't able to push the car all the way anyways.

If I can get some stuff rearranged in my life I hope to free up more time next year to work on car stuff.
