I used to race my 03.5 mazdaspeed protege down i45 late at night all the time back in 05 when i lived in houston. Never saw any cops and was never pulled over while living there. That is a nice smooth highway to run on too. Couldnt help but take out a couple hondas and some muscle cars back then.

They used to go street race out in the middle of nowhere off of the road running along katie mills mall. I went out there once it was pretty packed back then.

They r out now like crazy. See about 6-7 cops on my Daily commute to work. Had a few races here in there but not like before. My uncle helped crack down on that back in 04-05. Great help lol douch bag lol. He use to be in the HPD till someone tried to put the fall on him. He was forced to retire and won a law suite against the city.

Nice,

I remember when I was out at those races and the fastest car out there was a gold eg with a supercharged k20, I believe he said he was the first one in Texas to do a K swap in an eg. He said his car ran high 11's at the track. Man i wish i would have had my se-r the way it is now back then. haha it would have been a slaughter house. I did manage to take out a gangsta'd out 98 mustang gt and a em1 full bolt on civic si badly. lol

Fun fun back then. 2 hours out there at the factories and not a single cop or sherrif.

Yeah thats why i was in houston, went to UTI for a whole 4 months and said screw it, it wasnt worth the money. I was Acing every class and SOC in Advanced Electrical and Diagnostics. lol For someone that knows a lot about cars and their systems its definitely not really worth it. I used to live off Greens road in an apartment complex then moved to a house more north a couple miles. Cant remember the name of the area but new houses though. Then after i did the 4 1/2 months of school i moved back to AZ, and here I am. Ended up getting a job as a technician anyways. lol. Didnt like working for a dealership or maybe it was just this one and the management but didnt want to go back to it. I told myself if im gonna do that for a living its gonna be for my own business. And one day I will make it happen.

u did the smart move. i was already half way through it so i finished. hated texas so much i double phased for about 4 month and no im living here. i seriously spent all of my time texting on my phone only studied for advanced diagnostics cause it was the hardest class they had. only got a c in beginners electrical. wasnt good enough for BMW so i bounced to miami and thanks for affirmative action i got into jaguar school. they needed another hispanic. only 2 in every class from what i saw . got a call from UTI a week before jaguar school started.

i agree dealership life sucks big donkey balls. i work for them for 7 years and didnt like it after GW got in office. took a MAJOR hit. 25k per year till i called it quits. i wanted my own shop by 25 and hasnt happened but not sure if i will stay in texas much longer. i HATE it here

I mean texas was nice and all but yeah your guys cops and some of your laws and stuff suck. I lived in Copperas cove most of the 3 1/2 years i lived in Texas and the cost of living there is cheap but yeah most jobs dont pay crap. Just put it this way, I worked at a bank for going on 2 1/2 years, worked my way up and was still making about 16k/yr. It sucked. I got let go from there because of something that wasnt my fault and it was the first hit against me. Guess they really didnt like guys working there because I worked with all girls. lol. Either way I went on to deliver pizza for the Pizza hut in copperas cove and made way more money doing that than working at the bank. Like 23k the year I did it. lol. I delivered pizzas in houston while going to school and made even more over there during that 4 1/2 months.

But yeah, ive been pulled over 5 times in texas within the last 9 years and gotten 5 tickets. lol. No warnings, no nothing. Just ticket. Stupid commission paid cops. That and I hated the whole safety inspection every year and if you are in a big city then emissions along with it. They would hate my SE-R how it is now in Texas. Id get pulled over all the time im sure. Yuma is a nice place to grow up, raise kids and hell yeah our laws are way more laxed. No emissions, no inspection. Just keep your car registered and insured and your good. Never get tickets by our local PD, they just dont care.

Only thing i regret not doing when I was in Houston was not going to meet Shawn B. LOL. I cant believe that skipped my mind while I was there. I really dont know how. lol.
