Thread: Southeast Mini Meet Location Poll

Yeah i think if we are going to do the Dragon, it would be good to meet close to it at a park or something. Get there early, hang out and relax a little, then hit up that awesome road rested and focused. To start 3.5 hours away would make for a long day and ALOT of driving.

I think there are a few places in the area of TOTD to stay. (lodges, cabins, and camping)

Ok, so here is the breakdown... Knoxville is the only close city with "stuff" to do. Still about 30 minutes from the base of the dragon. We have an 1/8 mile track about 20 minutes out of town that does test and tunes on fridays and a large group of people that meet every saturday night that include a 1k hp supra and a gtr with carbon fiber everything including wheels! My main thing is not wanting to "take over" this event as it was not my idea. I will, if asked, do so. If the op, or anybody else, would like to call me, we can discuss many things. Also, the fontana village is right in the middle of the dragon and there is a great route that hits the dragon, the hellbender and the cherohala skyway in one big run. The only downfall to it is that there is nothing else to do in the area. I have already spoken to the group coordinator there and there are deals to be had, but that also means commitments and all that.

Well the start address of that route is the International Tow Truck Museum.

Just for clarification, just got back from Chattanooga and it is not really close to TOTD.

Knoxville or Maryville would be much closer to the Tail.

Unless we want to just say F it and meet at the Lane in Nashville. We can get the back lot and Pretty sure everyone knows where it is.

I'd love a meet in Knoxville, but I'll believe it when it happens we tried a meet in chattanooga once, everybody said they were coming... 3 people did, lol.

I certainly don't care to drive to Nashville. I like LMM, we've had good luck there in the past.
