LOL I wouldnt go to mayhem again if my life depended on it! Worst Customer service ever. Horrible attitudes. And half assed work. My rear main seal is leaking after getting my trans rebuilts by them and having a New LS7 clutch kit installed. FUCK MAYHEM. Seriously.

From now on nobody touches Vetty but me! Im gonna start doing work on the side for LS guy. So im getting the tools tog to be able to do everything i need in house!

Sorry to hear man. I haven't used them in over 4 years, maybe things have changed. Being that I'm in "customer service", I know how a bad incident can cause a bad reputation. Keep in mind cars seem to break after anyone touches them. They probably should have recommended doing the rear main while the trans was out. I too started doing most of the work that I could myself. Mainly to save money and because I enjoyed doing it.
That aside, what are your two cam choices?

Yeah but loose bolts and a leaking rear main are unacceptable. It didn't leak before they touched it.

Anyway I got a 224-228 mystery cam and also a bigger comp cam. Plus some other to fast goodies! These ls motor are so easy to work on and so strait forward it's retarted. No more scraping rtv grey off of the bottom of blocks for me!

I'm debating getting the heads ported, or going with an ls3 top end, or just selling my full ls6 block and getting an ls3. I'm looking for around 500whp all motor

LS3 sounds like a plan. It would take pretty insane heads and IMO a non-street friendly cam to make 500whp. I would think you'll need a few more cubes to get there and it still be fun. Brian Tooley (used to be in Bowling Green KY) is pretty awesome with LSX heads.
