It's so close! This is all I'm waiting for before I go get my dyno tune.

Bravo!

Have you guys considered moving the documentation into a Wiki page (after it's done in the app)? That would allow the community using it to easily add their knowledge of what works and doesn't work to tune certain things, and processes they use to tune an engine.

I've read countless articles on tuning with different engine management systems, but moving between those articles on different platforms to Nismotronic has been somewhat difficult. I understand that the interface is designed to simplify things, but when most of the howto's, articles, and posts (like the one Vadim did with Chipped ECU Tuning) are dealing with the more complicated systems, it's sometimes difficult to understand what table/setting in another app/system maps (or so to speak) to a particular table/setting in Nismotronic.

For instance, in the documentation under the Accel/Decel page, it lists what each one of the different "tables" are, but there is little out there (that I can find) that explains how each one of those items affects your tune/air fuel mix.

I understand that the documentation is more to teach someone where certain things are in the application, and not so much a full "how to tune" an engine. But it would be nice to have a place to go where I could see some sort of "If you increase this value in this table, this will happen under these conditions" type of thing...

I wouldn't expect you guys to write the whole bit, hence the Wiki style information page.

i see where blackngreenb14 is going with this.. i totally agree in several aspects, idk about the wiki thing tho..

however, until i see the new documentation (which i am going to assume is going to be very thorough), i am gonna keep my mouth shut.

the cool thing about john and dave is that they are real people and are always open to ideas and suggestions to make things even better!

I very much like this idea and actually have looked into doing it!

The new documentation will be MUCH MUCH more complete. The reason the current documentation was a bit lacking is because we knew we would be releasing this very in the very near future so we directed more attention to the SA version.

So, do we have a new ETA on the SA release? I'm really needing to get a dyno tune before IFO in Wichita.

Wow... Either @JKTUNING is working his ass off trying to get the software out to us, or he's getting tired of us asking... lol

I'm boned on the dyno tune before IFO, but I'm still looking forward to getting my hands (and my car) on this software.

Actually this is the busy time of year for me in every aspect. I do still tune cars on a daily basis and am trying to finish up the software portions that need done before release.

It is coming together though, it is literally just the documentation and moving some of the GUI items around!

Well, that could be good or bad news... lol Being a software developer, I know what a pain documentation can be... Any ideas on a rough ETA?

I will probably be April.
