yeah im really hoping its SOON.. not tryin to rush you guys, but i kinda wanna race my car this year and i want to be able to use boost by gear an all that fancy stuff.. not to mention getting it dialed in is kind of a pain in the butt with this setup.. on nistune i had it nearly perfect, but haven't been able to even get close with nismotronic.. not sure what the deal is... so im hoping switching to map will cure the issues i've been having.

thanks guys

Have you sent your TCD and a TCL log to John, with an explanation of your issues, to ask him what he thinks the problem(s) might be? NismotronicRT has much more capability than Nistune.

Not even close..?

If you have any questions, you can ask them .. but I haven't heard a peep from you regarding any performance issues.

The Speed Density stuff with make it easier all around for most people to get a visualization of what is going on.

oh performance is not the issue, its driveability and the lean issues on part or low throttle, i've made all sorts of changes, they start out seeming to have helped but after a few days its right back to it..

i did send ya some logs a while back john, i'll make some fresh ones and email em to ya..

yall know i love nismotronic, its just the little things i cant seem to iron out, an they should be the easy stuff..

Sounds good, shoot me over an email with your current tcd and some logs.

State in the email the time frames in question and I will see what I can do to help you out!

man i tried to get a log today but she didnt wanna do it enough..

basically starting from a stop and turning = 17 or so afr for a few seconds, sometimes leaner.. also slow corners in 2nd or 3rd can get into the high 16's low 17's, this is on throttle not just coasting.. also on down hill where the hills not steep enough to maintain speed at decel so i have to add a little throttle, thats lean.. also when i go to get on it in say 3rd or higher gear when i floor it, it goes lean before it goes rich then its like WHOOSH!! and feels like i cut the anchor.. lastly cruising down the freeway if i let off the gas to slow down a hair then reapply throttle to maintain speed it'll go into the high 16's and feel funny but after a few seconds it goes right where it should be..

i've tried just adjusting the fuel map in those areas but it tends to make it too rich for when the problems not present..

it could be something silly and mechanical but i've gone over everything i could think of and as i said, didnt have these issues with nistune.. i just figure theres something im not adjusting or not adjusting correctly..

These issues are likely NOT in the fuel map. Have you tried adjusting the accel trims?

Shoot me over your current TCD and I can take a look regardless of having a log of the issue or not, I might see something.

Sounds like a fuel pickup problem.

My car does the same thing from time to time. I've just assumed it was because my idle air control valve is going out or gone out already. I've also had it go extremely rich when barely getting into the throttle. I changed over to a blow through MAF configuration, so I might start over with a fresh tune and go from there.

Is there a standard order of items to tune? Of course, I would think that idle would be first, but is there a "right way" to start dialing a tune in?

A couple of (what should be quick) items to consider...

1) Could we have the ability to change the background color of the gauge screen?
2) Can we get some simpler looking gauges? On my screen it looks like there are rounded corners with white backgrounds when I set them to high contrast. There are also grey boarders to the right of the vertical bar gauges that just don't mesh with the interface. If we could get a plain, solid black background on the high contrast gauges, and the ability to change the background color to black, we could have a much more fluid gauge interface.
3) Full screen with the gauges. I know we can maximize the (what I'm assuming is an MDI child) screen, but if I were to get pulled over, I would prefer that it doesn't even look like a computer is running, just a gauge display.
