And thank you for reading the whole thread. That couldn't have been easy.

So I hope you are well.My throat is still on fire, but I'm managing it with over-the-counter sodium alginate and hoping to de-stress soon which I think will help. I'm 95% sure it is pepsin reflux, I just need to order the test to be sure.
I've also developed something very similar to sciatica, and my left leg is in pain most of the time now too. That's been going on for ~6 months now and I'm working on that too. I feel a bit like I am falling apart, and I do think the high level of stress for the past couple years has to be a major cause.

Thanks for the concern. I wish I had better news to report on this front.

The old forum software gained Facebook integration a long time ago when Cliff made that "improvement". I wish I knew better at the time to oppose the change since he asked for input. Regardless, the forum turned into another spying platform for Facebook at that time.
This new forum software has
absolutely zero Facebook integration and also no longer uses Google's Captcha technology which also allowed Google undo tracking power across the site. The site stands alone now as best it can, and that's how I'll try to keep it.
I did, however, improve the site's open-graph functionality, which is a standard for other web sites to get small bits of information when someone links to the forum. So now when someone links to the forum on Reddit, or Facebook, or Pinterest, or where ever, those sites get a meaningful title from the link, a meaningful summary of the link contents, and a meaningful image to use as a thumbnail.
This was done mostly so when people like me and you link folks to the forum from other places, the link looks good, behaves well, and is inviting to guests. This is to encourage more people to visit the forum. Exactly what you're suggesting.
I hope that clears some things up for you.
Now back to my ever-growing ToDo list.
