It is not. You just haven't chosen your timezone properly?

My time zone is set correctly

The one at the bottom of the page is approx. 7 minutes off.

Server time is off as far as I am concerned as well. I believe it is off by 7 or 8 minutes, I can't remember right now. It used to be off by 3-5 minutes but recently it has been off quite a bit more. I have checked my time zone settings and they are proper and have never been changed. I have verified my computer time with Microsoft, my TV, both of my cell phones, etc. etc. etc.

Doesn't matter to me but I figured I would add to the documentation of this!

Edit: I just posted this and my computer and cell phone time says 8:59pm. The dash says I posted this at 9:07 pm.

I thought he meant it was seriously off. 8 minutes off? Whatever... =P

(The machine it is on has likely drifted it's clock over the years and needs resetting. Built-in OS clocks are pretty bad time keepers.)

Funny,

The clock at the bottom of the page says 6:16AM, as does my desktop clock, watch, phone, TV, etc. etc. etc.

Nit pick much?

Actually, I have noticed the same as well (off circa 7-8 mins). But its not significant enough to raise any flags as I end up just doing the math in my head

I still don't see what you're referring to.

The footer of the page with the current time in it is also synched with my gov't computer at the office. 8:38am EST.

All times are GMT -4. The time now is 08:38 AM.

It is both synced with my clocks at home, and my clock here at work...

Well, the time matches up, yes. BUT, when someone posts, the post is ahead of the current (computer) time by circa 7-8 minutes. So, yes, the clocks are synced, but take a look at the latest post time and take a look at your computer clock and see if it syncs up. In alot cases I have seen lately, it does not.
It may not be obvious immediately, but just watch it throughout the day and see if you see it.

I hope that explanation makes sense.
