Hey man, I'm in favor of the Non-SR20 sub-forum in Off Topic if that helps you, but apparently you don't want to share with Subarus and Mitsibushis and whatnot? O_o

not a bad one imho.

i own a g and would love a place here at home to ask or post stuff up on them.

maybe a subsection for other makes and models. once you click that it has a few other chassis's/ motors.

so it would be a sub section with in a sub section.

i personally like the idea, i dont feel it would distract or take away from anything sr20 related. it may actually benefit us, you never know till we try it.

i vote yes.

yes, yes.. they were a cheap package 10-15 years ago too.. there were a few "better" options if you could afford a few thousand more dollars.

i didn't say anything about the current lineup.. i was only saying that there are people who love Nissan's..

me? the 1990-1994 Maxima SE, the Z31 & Z32.. the first generation XTerra... the first gen Infiniti FX is probably the best bang for your buck when looking at luxury/sport x-over sport utilities..

i can deal with learning a new forum on g35driver. If I didn't have to.. it would have been nice. and there is a G/Z group in Indianapolis that is making my transition much easier.

its not that i dont' want to share.. When Cliff said we'd have to make a subaru forum, a toyota forum, etc, etc.. i was just giving reasons why we shouldn't make 5-10 subforums. I didn't read his idea for a general technical area before that post.. I was just saying 4-5 subforums would be ridiculous, and defended the G subforum..

I'm cool with a subforum for non SR technical support..

I'm betting you never would have expected such a heated debate on your request?

I don't get it. I feel like I'm in bizzaro world. We have a place for that. It's called Off Topic. And pretty much anything goes these days.

I bet if you'd just started making thread after thread in Off Topic eventually the mods would have made you a sub-section naturally as a course of progress.
Show them there's a need for it. Don't hope for it and then hope to fill it.

Although maybe that's not true. Apparently even if you show them there's a big need for something, they can still ignore you.

id tell you right now if we had a vq35 section id post alot of vids and pics. mostly shit off the web as my g is stock and will most likely remain that way.

but i come across tons of cool vq related shit. just a few days ago i posted a vid on my face book of srg iirc shop that was doing long tube headers for 350z. they hit 379whp with a stock bottom vq ported head cams and itbs and of coarse their long tube headers. thats a pretty impressive number imho.

ive actually been searching lately for vq35 swapped cars, i.e. ae86s with a vq or 240s with a vq something along those lines.

so yeah lets open a vq35 section, if it doesnt work it can be easily deleted, its that simple.

and if they delete the section, they could always just dump the threads back into OT
