On the surface, it doesn't seem too bad. The problem is, I can't stand those damn yellow bars and that damn exclamation point. I just can't stand it. On top of that, the resize algorithm is crap. It also encourages people to post gigantic pictures. So if I want to see the good detail, I have to view about 1/4 of the image at once because it is so large. Instead of everyone using abit of netiquette, we have this kludge of a solution.
All in all, I hate it with a passion.
Maybe it's just me.
I fucking hate it.
The fact that image host providers don't automatically give you a full size link and a (configurable) thumbnail size link at the same time is not the forum's problem. If I ran a picture hosting site it would be fucking awesome in every way including that way. Again, not the forum's problem.
If the yellow bar weren't there, and the algorithm were better, I'd endorse it even if I feel it is not the right way to deal with the issue. And as far as I'm concerned, we don't even have an issue?
