Diagnosis Section?
As our cars start creaking from old age, more and more posts I see on here revolve around trying to chase down some bizarre behavior that has been going on. I propose that we create a diagnosis section where only answers are listed. For example, we could have a "car won't turn over" thread and people would post up with whatever it was they used to solve their problem. Or I've been chasing down an erratic idle at start-up issue and so when I figure it out I can post up about it. This way when a member has an issue, they can go to this section and read about what worked for others to resolve it. If they have questions they can pm them or create their own thread in the general section. Once resolved, if it was something new, hopefully they would post up the solution in the proper section.

That could be part of How To's. We could have a master thread that's stickied at the root level of the How To's, then have links to subthreads .

I personally want the opposite, a tech section where we can discuss technical details of things, trying to figure out how they work and how we can improve the current technologies. No troubleshooting questions . /thread jack

I want a dedicated transmission forum, dedicated brake section, dedicated transmission selling section... the list will go on but as we know for whatever reason these things won't happen

I like both of those ideas

The first one is awesome because you can just go strait to it and it'll help people out a whole lot compared to having to search through millions of threads....

The second one is good but then again the idea reminds me of the how-to section.
