I think the "HowTo's" is our "Tech Info Library" section. I wouldn't be against moving some stickies there maybe. I think some of them could probably just get degraded. Lots have changed since time has passed and threads are no longer important or relevant. That's another topic maybe for another day.

I'd love to consolidate some sections (if it makes sense and is desired) if it meant opening up room for a brake section.

When I think of a proper brake section I don't think "what calipers can I swap that are bigger and will fit my knuckles"

I think of brake line sizing, proper flaring, the physics behind master cylinder sizing, pedal ratio, AND swappable brake systems

search on the old forums for shit like "what size are the stock brake lines" or "what kind of flare do I need"

the answers aren't found easily

?????????

i don't even think i need it's own subforum. one thread, one stickie is enough.

what is there really to know about brakes? it's not like every brake system is different from every other car out there.

maybe you guys run into a lot of issues that I don't run into with brakes. I still don't see why it needs it's own section.

applying that logic to the turbo section would be like saying "don't worry about compressor maps or turbine housing choices or boost issues, we only care about what T2 flanged turbos would fit on our stock sr20det manifolds"

isn't the purpose of a forum to expand knowledge on the given area of interest

what's the area of interest on this forum? sr20 powered automobiles

the word automobile encompasses a shit ton of knowledge

brake line sizing and proper flaring, i bet not everyone is going to even attemp it and if they do that simple stuff.

the physics behind master cylinder sizing, pedal ratio, AND swappable brake systems

after being on the forum for over 6 years and seeing how many people swap the AD22 into a sentra without changing the master cylinder, I don't really see any need for it. there's a thread about it some where too.

i bet even if there is a brake section with the info post, people will still ask this question

Keo, if we consolidate 6 sections into 3, can we have our brake section?
