Thread: Forum word filter is a tad too aggressive.

Did I mention many URLs get completely messed up by the filter as well? More reasons it could be better IMO.

Word filters are for children and I can't think of a board i've joined in years where there are word filters in place.

In fact almost all places I go to name calling is ok and so is constant fighting.

Were adults here I dont think we need be censored.

I had to use tinyurl and other tricks just to post about some decent news relating to hоmosexuals because "hоmosexual" and in this case "gаy" are in the forum filter.

Really, this hasn't always been the case has it? When did they get added and why? Was it just an afterthought? Was it at Shawn's suggestion? Because it's not helping anything, and only hurting in my opinion.

Hey guys, thanks to Crim the word filter is now out. Now behave, posts containing nothing but curse words will be censored manually.
