I buy everything that I possibly can from Forum Vendors, Group Buys, or the classifieds from forum members. If you doubt me, just look at my build thread, it's all documented.

Call me crazy, but I will NOT buy anything from anyone that is not a regular with excellent iTrader feedback. Doing so is just asking to get burned. I am not going to be the "guinea pig" with some brand-new seller.

If I want to buy (rare, JDM, hard to find) sh*t from an "unknown" and am willing to take that chance, then I will indeed go looking on "Craiglist", E-Bay, etc... What is far worse than possibly "missing out" on some rare part, because the seller could not use The Dash like f*cking "Craiglist", is getting ripped off (on our forum) while trying to acquire that part.

I am glad the Moderators are taking a close look at any Brand-New Forum Member (based on post count, time on the forum, and iTrader) that is selling on our Classifieds. The Moderators, for the most part, have very good common sense and judgment. That is why they were picked to be Moderators in the first place.

Tekkie, I say "Moderate At Will" on the Classifieds. Nobody has any "right" to post anything on this forum. We are all guests. Telling a Newbie to take his "hit it and forget it" Classified somewhere else, is up to your sage discretion and good judgment. This forum is not a "free-for-all" nor a public domain of any sort. If written rules need to be implemented, per the Forum Staff, to protect our "core audience" and real, no bullsh*t, contributing (in all senses of the word) Forum Members from being ripped off, then so be it.

this is why you have to explain to ME

I don't have to explain ANYTHING to you. If you don't like it, no one's forcing your to stay. Take your attitude elsewhere if you don't like how business is conducted.

I hope you buy a GTI-R part from a forum member with no posts. Then when you're burned by him, don't come cry to the moderators because we're not going to help you resolve the issue.

From here on out, if you have an issue with me you talk to Crim or Matt. If they side with you, I'll gladly apologize. Until then, don't flex your e-thuggary at me. I hear you're a really humble guy in person...

How about if a member hasn't been on here for more than two months, his/her for sale thread has to be approved by a moderator. It would deter some shady people and weed out some too. And it's not like just being on here for a while makes you a legitimate seller. It's buy at your own risk always.

Is the forum really having a huge problem with this though? I don't think we should potentially block legitimate sales. Say a Maxima guy comes across a wrecked NX2000 and he wants to come on here and part it out. He shouldn't have to sit around for X amount of time or X amount of posts.

If you wanted anything from that thread, you can contact the seller freely. No one's stopping you from PM'ing him. There's your choice.

As far as reimbursing you for getting scammed, that's a no brainer. HOWEVER: I guarantee you and everyone else that gets scammed PM's a moderator to complain about being scammed, in which case we get unnecessarily involved anyway.

I've been fortunate to not have been scammed, and it was because the staff that runs this board keeps a watchful eye against would be scammers. If they weren't so diligent, I could have easily had been scammed by some asshole that showed up only to post an item for sale and PM me enough to get my money and run.

I said it before and I'll say it again. If you don't like it, go somewhere else. No one's keeping you here. I'm sure the number of forum members here that approve of this method FAR outweigh your complaints. I'm sure these same people show up on the old forum every day just to pedal parts and want no community involvement.

You're forgetting that you started this debate. I'm talking "addressing" you directly because you tried calling me out and it backfired. I'll tell you like I tell everyone else I know. Think long and hard before you open your mouth. Treat people with respect and you'll be respected.

I'm thru with this.
