Although my B14 isn't an SE/SE-L, it is 4-door and is now SR powered.
I actually came upon my B14 while at my previous job. I had been looking for a 4-door b-13 5-speed with power windows and locks for a while. Believe it or not, I was actually gonna use my '93 SE-R as a donor car and make a 4-door B13 SE-R. I was just getting tired of my SE-R, it's ugly, needs a bunch of body work, and, being red, gets me into too much trouble... I did come across a B13 GXE that was everything that I wanted and had 468,000 miles on it, but had cancer.
But after months of no luck, my B14 came rolling into work. As soon as I saw it I ran out to look at it.
http://www.sr20-forum.com/members-rides/14967-salvaged-b14.html It was dirty in and out, especially in, had a blown engine, and only 90,000 miles on it. I had never really been too fond of the B14's, but I knew that I had to have it. I ran back inside and told my manager to consider it sold cuz I was buying it. I got the car for a whopping $600. Since I've had it I've put new interior in it, changed over almost everything to SE/SE-L. It's now no longer GA16 powered, but houses a peppy SR20VE.
Owning this car allows me to keep my classic and still have a fun, quick, and reliable daily driver. The 4 doors mean that it's a lot easier for me to get my kids in and out of my car, plus it's a total stealth Honda assassin, lol. I can't wait to run up on a Honda V-TEC guy and watch his face as the cams engage and I leave his ass.
And I'm with Tommy, too. Sometimes I wish that I have something else, but all I have to do is just walk outside, stare, and remember how much I love my Sentra. I wouldn't have put all of the time and money into it if I didn't have so much love for the B chassis.
