Plenty of experience with blowouts on old as shit tires, a thank you. Dry rubber does not help with any thermal and expansion properties like a tire is designed for when it ages that much. Even if there is no visible wear marks, the material is different. You can argue for your cause all you want. I get that, and go for it, keep them as long as you get and get every mile out of them tires. The science is real. Experiences may vary.

Don't be mad because I have old tires Kyle. Experiences WILL vary though. I'll let you know when I have a blowout, have you really had that many? Btw I sold tires years ago, so I know the science, but just don't believe everything you read, they are in the business to sell tires, you know.

Hey, I thought this was a discussion on how much a 40 year Sentra will be worth??

Value means nothing to me. My SE-R has been with my just shy of 18 years and it will be with me until the day I pass and then it will go to my son.

I honestly feel that the last thing a "true" car guy is worried about it the value of their car. I have sunk more money into my car then what I like to think about and I have done it all without a thought of how much will the car be worth. $30,000 or $0 it's all the same to me.

I think having the "stock tire" on it is cool yet silly. Tires have gotten much better with the years. I would take Dunlop Starspecs over the stock Dunlop SP Sports (I think that's what they came with), mainly because they come in stock size

Just give me those tires and an HKS exhaust and keep the rest stock. Great car. If you read some of the old reviews, like Motorweek, they complain of a semi-nervous rear end. Those tires would correct some of that I think. Watch this. -->

Pretty competent car with an exhaust and tires in the hands of a good driver. Makes it pretty desireable yet keeps it original in my opinion.

this depends on a lot of things; one of the keyword is demand. Anything of high demand is worth whatever the buyer will pay for it, so the value is limitless. But if you were just to judge by Kelley's blue book or Edmonds or something then the value is sh1t. The car's book value is not worth more than a couple grand. that is if the condition is mint, but that's rare, so you're looking at around 1k or so, currently. Not to mention, this forum and the FWD SR is a niche group, which covers maybe a few% (guessing..) of car buyers, if that..haha. Personally, I'm never going to sell this car, I'm building it from the ground up.

Maybe 10,000 at most. It would have to be super mint and low mileage. There were a ton of non-SER coupes built. It's not super difficult to make an SE into an SE-R. The chassis of the SE-R was not anything special over the SE. A change a sway bars, struts, and powertrain and you have yourself an R.

boy am I glad I have two of them! but one thing that's making these cars difficult is finding parts. obviously starters batterys and that stuff you can get at autozone but badges, weather stripping and a lot of other parts are discontinued and it gets frustrating for sure.
