Axle issues
Hello all! My name is Jay, been involved with cars as long as I can remember. Work for a very large parts house and turn a wrench for a living. Enough about me onto my question, I have a 92 se-r with a gearstack from a b14. My question is after I replaced the guts from the b13 trans with the b14 stuff I have an issue with the cv axles appearing to be to large... The b13 wheel covers do not fit on the wheels. I am simply confused LOL

You have to be a little bit more descriptive but what you mean by "large". Are you talking about the axles being to long? They stick out of the wheel and the center cap won't snap in place because of the threads?

Apologies, 3 screaming kids under the age 5, got distracted. Yes both axles are bolted in, vehicle drives, just unsure why so much length... Almost like they are universal axles, although i realize thats not possible....

Hmmm...did you just purchase these axles? If so where from? I have purchased axles a few times for my 94 and never had a problem with length on the wheel side.

Nope these appear to have been on the car for quite some time.

It sounds like they are axles from a car with a larger/thicker wheel hub. I can tell you if you purchase axles from Rockauto they will fit right. The B14 stack won't have anything to do with them being longer on the wheel side.
