nx master cylinder from rockauto
I bought an NX master cylinder from a member and it seems to be on its way out..

If I buy a master cylinder from rockauto for an NX2000, will it have the correct portioning valves?

Proportioning valve is separate IIRC - if you have to replace the master get the Altima one - larger bore thus ability to move more fluid.

My understanding (which could be wrong) is that the proportioning valves screw into the MC where 2 of the lines connect. I also think it's unlikely that when you buy an aftermarket MC for a 20-year old car that you are very likely to get the NX2000 proportioning valves even if you order an NX MC. I just looked at the Rockauto listings and some of the same part numbers are being listed for NX2000 and SE-Rs. So I don't think that they are keeping track of the difference in the valves.

I did some research when I was upgrading my rear brakes and found that the Altima MCs use the exact same valves as the SE-R stock MC. So you might want to keep this in mind as well. If you are concerned about the brake bias you might consider swapping the valves from your old MC to your new one.

@billc - you were correct on the proportioning valve - had to go look at a master cylinder again.

Thanks for clearing that up -- I often get things confused.
