225-45-15 tires on a B13?
I did some searching, but I didn't find a definite answer (maybe I missed it).

Two questions:
1. will 225-45-15 fit on the front of a B13?
2. will 225-45-15 fit on the rear of a B13?

I read that 225 will likely fit the rear if running coilovers, and that they should fit the front without an issue. A friend has access to an older set of Avon Tech R for a very good price, and I'm trying to see if they will fit his car.

Car in question:
94 SE-R
Konis on GC
Wheels are either 15" TE-37 or 15" TD Pro Race (I don't recall the offsets).

Any definitive answers would be helpful before mounting the tires and finding out for certain.

Thanks,

Josh

Can you link the threads here that you found while researching so others will have that info in the future?

BTW, I run 225-45-15 all around on my B13 with stock style suspension and absolutely no rubbing. I'll chime in once you've added those research links.

Should fit just fine. Just watch out for spring perches and too high of a wheel offset.

Also, to note: 225/45 tires can vary in width and height (225/45 Hoosier A6s are NOT the same size as Falken FK45 225-45 (if they were made in those sizes)). I am going to assume the Tech Rs are on the larger end of the spectrum (read: oversized tires)

Ben, what 225_45 tire you run??

I will have to try and find the links again. I originally started searching a couple weeks back while the tires were still for sale, and now we have better access (but off of the rim, so we can't just bolt them on). I believe the original comment was hidden in a thread with an odd title.

I would agree. Not an actual apples to apples comparison, but I had 4 of the 225's stacked beside 4 205 (Nitto NeoGens) and the height was interesting as the 225's several inches more than expected (I didn't measure it though). Both of your responses really help clarify that these should work.

Without going into too much detail, it is all in the wheel offset, and the rear fenders need rolling for sure.

i was also going to say that it depends greatly on the offset..

I have run 225/45/15 Hoosiers and Toyo RA1's on my 1994 with GCs and Konis for years. I run a 1/4 inch spacer in the rear. No rubbing front or rear. I run either a set of 15x7 RPF1's or a set of 15x6.5 DP Enduros depending on which has the better tires mounted. I am not sure of the offset for the wheels.
