Tough call. It does look larger than normal but so does the drivers side a little bit.
Good call on the carfax. Cafax is the cleanest you could ask for. Some years it was driven less than a thousand miles!

"Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved." - Acts 16:31 (the good news of Jesus Christ) - PM me if you wanna talk about this! 1992 Nissan Sentra SE-R - Mostly original at 125k miles. 2001 Toyota Tundra SR5 4X4 - Stock and boring. 1971 Jeep CJ5 - Dauntless V6, 3spd manual. Super slow and super fun.

A gap on one side could indicate the fender being repaired/replaced from minor damage. Gaps on both sides could indicate a front-end collision. And as we all know these things don't always show up on a Carfax report.

Aftermarket antenna, and an alarm horn hanging off the radiator support.
I can tell you that the gap on that left side does look like the car was rear-ended and the trunk was either not aligned properly upon being fixed, or never fixed at all. I know so because it happened to me and it looked identical

Hell I'd buy it. My 91 had worse damage than that with quickie MAACO paint job, NX front springs and just replaced DE. Only reason I scooped it up was the fresh JDM 10:1 that ran like a raped ape. At the time SE-Rs were pretty scarce even in '03 & I needed to keep the miles down on the 94 with a beater. Bought the 91 for 3K and I thought I paid way too much until I drove it. She's still ticking with a healthy VE and holding her own with most track cars. Someone who appreciates these rare pieces of Nissan automotive history will snatch this up despite it's minor flaws IMO. Carfax at least gives some history if not all of it.
