heres some photos as promised, of a few mods ive done to the g20 bumper to get it to fit as best as possible to the B13. first is the front rebar. at the top, there is 8 mounting points for the top of the bumper to fasten to, the two outermost holes on both sides should be hammered down flat. doing this allows the square g20 bumper to match the curvature of the b13 much easier. you will only be securing the top of the bumper by the 4 centre mounting holes

next is the bumper itself. the tip of the bumper has a raised section that is supposed to follow the contours of the front fender well, on a g20. since it is being matched to a b13, it must be trimmed away. this lessens the overall bumper to fender gap. do both ends obviously.

near the radiator opening, the inside of the bumper protrudes too far in, and touches the lower rad support bar. this must be trimmed away.

thats pretty much it. I hope this helps the few that are interested in trying this alternative bumper themselves.

heres some progression and completion pics of my g20 bumper, with some of my own custom bits added to it:

sanded, adhesion promoter, 2 coats primer

3 coats colour, 5 coats clear

fitting 99 civic Mugen front lip, very similar to laguna lip off of JDM primera. idea taken from the g20.net guys

wanted to add front canards, made templates out of plexi, fitted to bumper

traced templates onto dry carbon fiber sheets and cut them out

canards installed, and fitted 98 Nissan Altima fog lamp housings. searching through junkyard one day, these fog lights follow the g20 fog light cut out!

INSTALLED!!!

installed dry carbon fiber block off plate to right side to get rid of ugly horizontal lines in fog light cutout, left foglight cut out fully, opening left for intake ducting.

passenger side gap from above

driver side gap from above, this is the only angle which u can see this

for all the nay sayers, go shit yourself. I know I can't please everyone and we all have different tastes, but at the end of the day, my goal is only to please myself, and I achieved that. i'm sharing my work for others in the community to see, to give insight of whats involved, and to give idea of what can come from it. I hope y'all enjoyed following this and I hope to see some more popping up!

nice job on making it fit right but just wondering if u got a chance to weigh it before the install. just asking because there is a considerable weight difference between the stock bumpers and the "2 or 4 fog bumpers".

I don't have an exact weigh in, doing the swap, I didn't make the weight difference to be an issue. But feeling the "heft" of one bumper to the next, they felt relatively the same. There's a noticeable difference in weight now though, since I added the altima fog lights and brackets, front lip, and canards.

Yep. Use mugen style front lip for 99 civic. There is two kinds tho, one is made of a tough abs plastic that doesn't have a lot of "give" or malleability, you want the one that's made of the more flexible plastic in order for it to shape correctly to the g20 bumper.

If you start a thread you will get commentary, opinions and criticism. You do not get to decide on, nor influence, the responses. Thee only person you can control is yourself. If you don't like it, don't fucking post in the first place.

I was going to tell you that once you got it fully finished, with the lip and fogs, it looks pretty good. Minus the canards which I completely dislike and that small gap, it's still much better as a completed project.

Instead of that, go fuck yourself.

If that is the case, then why do you give a flying fuck about the folks that don't like it?

And I commend you for it.

You were doing terrific, you had me at least moving from negative to relatively neutral, until you got your manties all bunched up in your sandy vagina.
