I don't think this will work for you. The best to do is stick with 1.6 or 2.0 condenser, heater core and evaporator. And get the lines and AC compressor together from a 1991-1994 SE-R. I have it all if you really need it. But g20's are totally different. A few junk yard experiments taught me that. Where are you located?

Hey 92se-r,

I have the same set up as you do. let me know how it is going to be and I am planning to do it this month. My car is alreay to go and just need to figure it and send it to A/C specialist to install.

One thing, is there a parts number or could i use any A/C condensor from 1.6 or 2.0 engine from any year?
I have to do a check list on what i need to install. I do have some parts to install and what is left over from the swap engine.

B13sr20BBd, can you give us feedback/help from time to time to make it work. We need guidance here!

thanks

I'd advise you try to stick to 1991-1994 sentra parts as much as you can, just because the lines and fittings can be tricky to get a proper seal if the ends are different in any way.

I am here to help based on my experiences to update to newer parts.

My AC setup:
I've upped my AC compressor to a 1999 Sentra compressor. The reason I did this is because whether I get my compressor from a 1.6 or 2.0 sentra, the clutch and pulley are always the same a line up with the serpentine belt no matter what SR20 you use. This means if I ever have a compressor issue, I can get a replacement from any 1999 SE,XE,GXE,SE-L - doesn't matter the model spec because they all have the same fittings.

I did however need to use the low and high pressure ends from a 1999 sentra on the compressor side and retain the 1991-1994 fittings both on the line to condenser and the line to the evaporator core. So in the end, I have custom AC high and low pressure lines to make my swap work.

I chose this route b/c any other year of sentra always has about 6 - 7 different AC compressors and you never know which one you're going to happen to get from the junkyards or from any parts store, whether new or used. They differ between engine models in lines, fittings on both ends and pulleys. Only way to kill that issue is to by new from Nissan...and who wants to pay $500-$700 for an AC compressor!?!?

FYI 1991-1993.5 years are the old refrigerant, and the 1993.5-1994 cars are the new style of refrigerant. Do you still have the evaporator inside the cabin and such? You just need the engine bay stuff right?

I have not yet done or checked, since the car is in repair for headwork and then to A/C specialist.

I have taken some notes upon sending to the shop.
