stop scrapping b13s
I am really tired of seeing nice b13s going to the scrap yard or getting parted out when theres people out there looking for nice cars and they get stuck with rusty cars. I have been looking for a nice almost rust free se-r and I see them all on here getting parted out. my thought of a forum is to keep the cars going and keep them nice not get rid of the nice ones so no one els can have them. save the cars there hard to find.

am I the only guy that thinks like this???

I have seen many bad ass SE-R's get parted out because people refuse to pay good money for them.

Thing is the older they get the harder they will be to find in good condition.

Dude I totally agree. It saddens me to see these cars being dismantled. BUT the problem is it's almost impossible to find a 20 year old car without rust *somewhere* - especially if they are from the northeast or midwest. Maybe there are a few Florida and southern California B13's with with zero percent rust, but it is really tough. And it's always in the same places. The passenger rear rocker or the door jambs, or the trunk.

So if you want one without rust you may have to go south.

I mean I no that some are parted out to keep alot more going but why part out nice cars why not part out the rusty ones that cant and I mean cant be fixed and it can be said for every car out there.

well I no rust will always be a hard thing to deal with but Id rather find a nice car with alil rust than a crap car with alot of rust. if the cars were too much part out but part out to sell it all and keep the shell whole and sell it to some one that has the stuff to put it together.

Yeah I know. Everyday that goes by takes us further away from 1991 and there are less on the road. It's funny though, in the last 2 days I saw 2 Sentra XE's, probably '93's or 94's, both gray. One was behind me on the highway and I parked next to another. I see a B13 maybe once a month, and I travel plenty.

man if i see an ser on the high way I about break my neck to look at it. I just want people to understand that were not dealing with civics were dealing with a hard to find car that deserves more from us than being thrown away because you dont feel like working on it any more or theres alittle rust. both of my cars have rust and Im not afraid to fix it to keep these cars around. my gray car was rusty and side swiped and I fixed it.

exactly. at the end its all about the money.

if the people dont want to pay no matter how much we love them they wont be saved.

our community seems to be hit harder by this economy then other communitys.

stratton.

I do this even if it's a Sentra XE or E or whatever. The other driver probably thinks I'm nuts. Also, if I see a B13 somewhere in a parking lot, I try to park next to it on purpose even if there are better parking spots
