Replacing hood cable latch in B13
How hard is it to replace the hood cable latch in a B13?
I just received my male and female parts for the replacement from Courtesy Nissan. New hood latch and cable. The guy who had my car before converted to hood-pins and I'm not a fan. I did a search and it said just run the cable through the drivers' side wheel splash shield.
I already messed around with the new parts in my living room and I think I figured out how it works. You pull on the plastic latch (the part that goes in the interior) and it pulls on a spring on the latch, lets the hood pop up, then you need have to hit the other lever from the front of the car to get the hood to pop up.
So, I'll be doing this tomorrow, anyone have any tips on the install?
