sounds like a knock but ive never heard of anyone riding on knock for 3+ months.

Yeah and it hasn't gotten worst.

5th gear also took a crap a while back, so sometimes we're cruising at 4,000RPM or so for an extended period....lol.

If it is rod knock, I have a whole new respect for Nissan engines....and if it is rod knock I guess I'll be parting an SE-R out as soon as I buy something new. lol

sounds like rod knock to me with out a doubt.

like everyone else stated the whole rod knock for 3 months throws me off.

how many miles have you driven since the start of the knock ?

i know a few guys who said they driven a fair ammount with knock, so you never know...

100 miles or so a day for a while, five or seven days a week, then we moved closer to work so now it's closer to 50-60 miles a week, sometimes more, depends.

Rod knock. Seen it, heard it, been there. Twice. Drove my DE with knock for 2 months babying it the whole time until I could find another DE for the 94.The 91 had a very healthy JDM DE that I ran the crap out of for years until the dreaded knock reared it's ugly head. Not as loud but unmistakeable. Once you hear that sound you know....

PMed but I'll probably just scrap this thing when it dies, hopefully I can put a down payment on something new before it does.

Do not scrap that car, I have seen pictures of it.

I can tell you Steve's (SuperblackZ) drove his car for over a year with rod knock... not the SCC car btw.
