Could be a blown head gasket, I had a blown hg and it put compression into the coolant system forcing coolant out of the expansion tank and it was all over my pass side motor mount and area around it. But it never over heated tho. Try pressure testing the system and fix any leaks you find, replace coolant temp sensors and thermostat and make sure the fans are kicking on when they should. Good luck.

When I had a hole on the top of my radiator about the size of a pin hole I had my dad take a torch to it with some solder and its been running good ever since.

My oil isn't milky and my car still has the same amount of power so I'm pretty sure it isn't a blown head gasket. I already know what leaks I have, and they're not fixable. I definitely need a new radiator and fans. I got the thermostat already. How many temp sensors are there anyway? I know there should be a coolant temp sensor, but what else?

The thing is, is that the entire top of the radiator is leaking. It's not horrible, but it's enough to have me run out of fluid and overheat at least once a week. As a quick fix, I'm gonna flush my system, and take two layers of electrical tape around the top and then a layer or two of duct tape. That should hold me up until I can afford the new radiator.

Mine didn't have milky oil either and still had decent power. But you do need to fix that rad asap. 2 coolant sensors, one for the computer and one for the gauge. Start with the rad and t-stat first and see how it goes.

mine wasnt milky or a lack of power.
hell i was at a HPDE event at carolina motorsports parkway when i finally figured out it out my headgasket.

I was just pushing coolant after boosting.

Shit. I'll replace the two sensors and the fans and pray to the SE-R God that the car doesn't have a blown head gasket.

Actually, I don't think I need to replace the fans. They come on when the A/C is turned on, so maybe just the #1 and #2 relays are bad.

I think I fixed the car. Nissan was dumb enough to put a spot for a power window relay and I got lucky. There was a 30amp relay just chillin in there. Swapped that with my burnt out relay and now my fans work. I'm gonna let 'er cool off, pour some more water in the radiator, and drive somewhere close later. Hopefully, she does well. If not, I'm gonna do a cooling system flush and replace my coolant temp sensors. If that doesn't work, I need to find the cash for a fresh radiator.

And now I have a new problem - I'm burning fuel. I got white smoke coming out the back a bit and some coming from underneath. I was thinking possibly the o2 sensor is dirty as shit and either needs to be replaced or cleaned up. Anybody else have any ideas? I was also thinking a possible leaky injector.

Sorry bud, but white smoke is most likely steam from a blown head gasket... burning to much fuel would be black smoke.
