Getting the 1994 stuff will make things a bit easier, but it absolutely can be done with any SR20 powered B13 vehicle as the donor. You just need to change a few more things and know what you're doing.
You don't live in CA do you?
You might want to research the implications for inspection and emissions compliance.

I just did a 94 1.6 to 2.0VVL and i used a 92 ' harness and ECU. Use the 1.6 alternator harness and take the small underdash plug from the 1.6 harness and replace the one on the 2.0 harness and you should start up.

1993.0 cars have highport heads. 1993.5 cars have lowport heads. With the different head and intake manifold came different vacuum line routing and different emissions equipment placement.
If you find a 1993.5 car, not much will be different if anything.
if you find a 1993.0 car, you will have a highport motor which will be a bit different. Similar to a 1991 or 1992 engine, but without the additional emissions equipment hanging off the engine by the catch can that the 1991-1992 engines had.

I know this is a old thread... But @kevwal what about the underhood connections for the second engine harness. My 92se-r has three connectors and the 94le I'm putting all my stuff in only has two. I'm talking bout the ones that are under the air box.

That plug should have a black wire and a red wire. If I can remember correctly one gets power and the other one is ground. I just can't remember which one.

It's really that simple?!?! Wow. Noone covers that part of the swap. I have been looking at diagrams all day. And it looks like two out the three would still plug in. But I could not figure out what the third plug was for.
Thanks @kevwal

One goes to the air regulator and the other goes to one of the plugs on the idle control valve. If your going VE you don't need to worry about the air regulator. Use a multimeter and check for continuity between the plugs.

Ok the wire that goes to the AAC valve gets a fused 12V. Now for the air regulator you will have to check the plug at the air regulator cause it gets a switched 12v and a ground. The black with red stripe is the 12v.

Hope this helps. We all need help at some point, maybe one day I might need info from you.

I'm taking my moded ve with harness and dropping in this car. The air regulator is already deleted outta the harness. But it sounds like your talking bout the wires by the intake mani. These plugs are on the bracket above the trans on the driverside.
