Headliner!
Has anyone ever replaced or repaired their headliner?
I'm sick of having those huge bubbles

A few options,
#1-Junkyard, doesn't have to be an SE-R, any B13 will do. Plus, taking it out will give you the experience to reinstall it.

#2- Recover it. JoAnn's Fabric and other places sell actual headliner material. There are a few threads where people have done this. I think there is a step by step thread in the "How To" section of the old forum.

#3- Buy one, harder to do since you'd want to find someone local. Shipping from anywhere would probably be over 120.00.
I've got one I haven't even thought about selling because I wouldn't know how to pack it and shipping would probably be so high.

Refinishing isn't too bad, I did my p10 and i'm about to do my s13 too. Get some 3m or permatex headliner adhesive from Advance, find a material you like that is slightly pliable and go to town.

I did mine just like the guys said, getting it in and out can be a little tricky, be careful.

if you have a sunroof make sure you leave some extra material on the front windshield area.. fold it around the edge and stick...I had to redo mine when I cut it all perfectly to the edge...I kinda stretched it at the sunroof button area so it would blend in nice..then the next day it pulled itself back from the windshield area and I came up short....that will never happen again!LOL!

To be very specific, the 2-door B13 and 4-door B13 headliners are different. They are not interchangeable.

Correct on shipping and the amount. I priced it out already. Was going to buy one and ship it from Blurr.rt.by.you. No dice on that shipping amount.

I decided to find one in a local yard. Pulled a 4-door unit, and it did NOT match. Lesson learned (dammit, shit, fuck....), I went back a week or so later and found a 2-door headliner (which is now in my car, recovered in black cloth).

of course, first you pull it out of the car

then pull the cloth off, behind that will be a thin layer of foam.

you'll need a styrofoam sand block people use for drywall... it makes taking the foam off of the headliner easier..

then when you get new headliner material from JoAnne's fabric or Hobby Lobby, take your SWEET time with it, start from the middle with the glue and only glue a small portion at a time.

You could run the risk of streching the fabric too tight and not following the contour of the headliner...

Go to the fabric store and buy headliner material, will run you $15 or so. Then pickup a can of 3m spray. Remove headliner, remove old fabric, cut, spray, and lay the fabric down. Its super simple. When I did it I couldn't believe I waited so long to do it considering how easy/cheap it was.
