What Did You Do To Your B13 Today?
Finally registered it and it died in the first 10 minutes. Easy fix. Someone left the connector to the alternator unplugged..... after that drove it around. Thing runs like a champ. Discovered a few small flaws that can be easily fixed. All in time though.

Finished sanding and rattle-canning my 2-fog front bumper skin. Fog brackets and bumper support done previously.

Took off my front bumper the hardest, most work intensive way possible. Then saw how easy it was to do if I would have done it like someone with a clue in the first place.

Gonna reassemble my Sunny bumper tomorrow and install it.

Installed new left and right LCAs, complete with new ball joints, as well as new MOOG outer tie rod ends....on DDB

Finally got to use my new tool that everyone should have in their repertoire...worked like a champ on the tie rod ends and the ball joints!!

When is the last time the battery was charged via alternator more than 15 minutes? With the very little draw a B13 has, I am becoming interested when the battery will die. I have not started mine since the middle of December and I am beginning to anticipate a possible dead battery scenario.

New cars will destroy batteries faster than ever because of the insane amount of draw the car will pull from batteries when not in motion. New car problems, ugh.

Over the last few days...
Upgraded my stock fuel pump to an AEM 320(E85 compatable one) and wired it all up on a dedicated relay and larger wire.
Used a factory connector for the new wires to the relay,so the old plug is tied aside and can be put back to stock easily later. Then tapped into the factory wires to trigger the relay, and ran them alongside the oem harness going into the trunk over the struttower.

Tapped into my stereo dist block to send 12v + (fused separately)to the relay, grounded the relay to the struttower.(I wanted to be able to service the relay and power etc from the trunk so if I have issues I dont have to remove the seat to troubleshoot most things)

connected a 4G power wire to the optima front post to power the dist block that will also power my amp(s) down the road if I decide to add a a subwoofer/system

of course theres fuse on that, too.

Installed my Calum basic ,N60,popcharger and proper intake... and window switch(which seems to be defective)
Set the timing, and adjusted the idle.
Got the alarm, cruise working, and gauges, too, and installed my Faux Carbon Fiber Valvecover while I was at it.

getting ready to take her to the dyno in a couple weeks.at that time I will be adding n1 cams and an ebay triy header to replace my SSAC ebay crap....eventually I will get a custom header, but its not in the budget for a while

Hey mickey, any chance you could take a measurement of the lengths of the rear arms for me. I have adjustable ones and my old arms got thrown out before i could assemble and match the lengths between the two. Just want to get them as close as possible before alignment. from centre hole to center hole if you could i would appreciate it greatly. Thanks dave

Jay,

You would gain more power by running a longer straight intake but that heavy ass battery is in the way. Relocate it to the trunk or get a smaller battery. The power gain is significant enough to go through the hassle. There is room for another foot and a half of intake tract with the battery out of the way

What did I do?

Replaced some fenders so now they aren't primer, still not same color as rest of car but close enough for now.
