those are air ducts. Because the intercooler is so big i was worried about air flow. They go through the bumper support and have grill mesh to keep objects out. the hardest part was cutting the impact foam behind the bumper cover.

You should use some black door trim to clean up the bumper cuts a bit. That's what I did with my SE-R

I successfully changed out my headlight bulbs to my new, reportedly bad-ass, Phillips X-treme bulbs. What a PITA. That little retainer clip? With my great big paws? Down in that little bitty space, with my catch can perched on top of my valve cover? Upside down? Yeah, that required some serious cussing.

I also drilled a couple new holes in my LA license plate so that it could be attached with four (4) screws, instead of just two (2) at the top. Stainless screws with a rubber washer between the plate and my car. While I was at it, I carefully trimmed the excess white plate surrounding the black outline of the plate. They always leave it uneven, and the sticker (?) on the plate doesn't even cover all the metal. So you have 1/16th of an inch of plain tin surrounding the plate. Looks like ass, so I very carefully trimmed that shit with a big pair of snips. Mucho bueno.

Yeah the stupid metal retainer clips on our headlights suck. Glad you got it done though.

rob the cuts are straight but the angle I took the pictures from makes it look rough. Also the camera seems to pick up the grill mesh and makes it look like the bumper. I am having the body lines filled in like the rest of the car so any touch up work will be done then.
