I have... I don't see it. Dress shoes, boots, running shoes, racing shoes... They are all the same to me. I don't see these being different except toes can move independently... which doesn't change anything for heel toe for me.

I usually modulate the brake pedal with the left-most pivot section (ball) of my right foot and modulate the throttle with the right-most pivot section (ball) of my right foot. Basically my foot is straddling the two pedals directly. With the toe shoes I didn't have the sturdy sole of the shoe to keep my foot and toes from bending inward and folding in on itself and I lose placement on both pedals pushing through to the firewall.

Would you agree this method might be a bit tough?

With the toe shoes I have to do a more traditional approach with most of my toes and the ball of my foot on the brake, and then pivot and cant my foot to the side at an angle to get the right side of the ball of my foot to the accelerator pedal. Or even use the arch of my foot on the accelerator, or the heel in the case of the Beetle or other cars with huge gaps between the pedals.

How do you perform with flip-flops?

Got a DP/flex pipe off a NX in the yard today. It was unrusted, unlike mine. The yard removes all catalytic converters before the car is allowed to be picked through, and they use a blow torch apparently, cutting BEFORE the cat. Fuck those idiots.

I once bought a muffler from there and yeah it pissed me off how they did that.. Glad I have hook ups for welding

I went outside, opened the door, put the steering wheel lock on, locked the door... Having no money sucks

Went around the corner to put gas in it for later and thought the clutch felt like it was slipping... Came back home and at the stop sign I dumped the clutch @ 2k and was going 10mph yet rpm was all the way up... Shifted into 2nd, same thing...... let off and it caught back on... Floored it in 1st and it didn't slip.. Perfect timing for my clutch to go out! right when I don't have money to fix it =\

I tend to agree, I do probably 90% of my driving wearing red wing work boots, they have a little softer sole though, almost like a harder version of a dr. marten sole. And they are not steel toe'd.
These are the most comfortable shoes I own and I wear them all the time, adapt and overcome I suppose?? I've rarely had a shoe/boot related mal-function.

For super race days when I have to be the fastArr I will break out my old old school vans with the gum soles though..............look out!!

I can feel a difference 100x over driving in my casuals vs my work shoes.. Work shoes I always manage to clip the clutch pedal when braking somehow...
