Thread: Wont start...

OK so i picked up another SE-R with lots of gooodies...only problem is it wont start, the previous owner said it was a harness problem. so when i get home i change my harness (injector side) from my other Sentra that was running..still nothing...

it has a NX digi cluster..when i turn the car on the lights show up, i hear the fuel pump prime also if i step on the brakes or turn any electronic thing on the car the nx digi cluster goes dim and the MPH indicator goes blank....everything looks intact so im stumped.

Starter? What happens when you turn the key?

nothing no cranking or anything...the lights in the Dash go dim...i also hear a whining sound as well

Sounds like a starter or starter relay problem.

You check if battery or alternator any good?

Check grounds and electrical connections.

I think I'm not getting power to my starter somehow... Where is the starter relay located and damn I need a volt meter check thing

There is not starter relay you can actually check, if the solenoid is bad, it will cause a drop in voltage, may wanna pull the starter and ahve it tested

Does the starter at least clicks? I had this issue with my 240, turns out the positive battery cable was the culprit.
