Yes, the cable. Get a 2.0 cable and use the reducer trick.

Post up the info you posted a while back Ian. It can help out the newbies a bunch. Do you still have those pics?

Really? I replaced my cable in under 10 mins. on my lunch break at work .

It's easier than changing oil.

i've never done it, and i couldn't see where it connected to the pedal at all.. i do have a FSM, and haynes manual, i'm sure i could have done it, but i needed it to get done asap.

if this would have been friday night, i'd have tried to do it, but it happened sunday morning, and i needed to get to work monday.. kinda rushed to get it done.

either way, it was an expensive lesson.

It's easy. Remove the cable from the tranny arm 1st, then go and push the clutch pedal to the floor so you can have some slack on the cable and removed from the clutch pedal arm. It's only held in place by a slit where the cable sits. Then just feed the cable thru the firewall and take it out. Reverse what you did to install.

It's super easy to do , maybe i'll remove it and replace it so i can do a write up.

well, the cable that the shop put in has already stretched to the point where i've had to adjust it all the way, and it's still got entirely too much play. I've called them and told them, but the time that I can get there, they have no mechanic. It's a lose/lose, but I will get another cable out of this.

60 dollars for a clutch cable that's going to stretch to the point it's unusable in a week, that's rediculous.
