Has the harness for the maf been cut at all other than from you regrounding? Have you checked the injectors? Checked the timing?

+1 on a harness issue.

also does this car have EGR? If so I say block it off to eliminate that as a problem all together.

I have had similar issues when my intake was not properly attatched. Unmetered air causes all sorts of problems. Also look for leaks in the intake manifold.

only cut i found was on the tps which has already been fixxed.

Engine is a JDM sr20 as stated in the first post (towards the end)
from what i know jdm motors dont come equiped with EGR stuff.

I've searched and wasted countless amount of carb cleaners cans searching for an increase in idle and nothing ....more tips are greatly appreciated =)

try some good old GM top engine cleaner. Get your car to operating temp, stick an intake mani vacuum hose in the bottle and hold 2500 rpm until its all gone. Then drive about 15-20 miles on mid to high RPM. Chnage plugs, oil and see if that worked. It costs maybe $30

My car start similar **** not too long ago. Do you have a rear trunk battery? If so, do you have a nice 0 gauge or so wire going from the block to the chassis? Make sure that all your ground points are sanded down properly. Is your MAF wired correctly? This is Nick's old car right? If so, I doubt anything is hacked on the harness. Did the car have a Z32 maf at one point? I am guessing it was wired back to stock but make sure that everything is proper.

Also, go check the small ground wires that go to the intake manifold above the throttle body. There should be (2) 10mm screws holding on some grounds coming off of the harness. I took a wire wheel to those and cleaned the IM off as well as the female connector end of the harness. Check for the main ground that is above the thermostat housing and that the wire is solid and clean of any dirt/grease/corrosion. Hopefully this made sense, if not, sorry but its late! Lol.

You got cel? did you Pull codes?

Sounds like it could be MAF related. Ground for MAF should go on the same spot as the injector harness. 2 srews on IM mentioned above. Check the wires carefully.

put new wire harness put everything harness(electrical) back to stock .. meaning UNCUT HARNESS if problem persists.. try new ecu..

with those two things it should fix itself.
