Thread: b13, what to look for ???

Ok guys, im looking at this b13 se-r right now, was wondering what and where should i look for common things wrong with these cars ? like the usual rust spots and other things ?

Rust in both door jambs, rocker rust, also water in the trunk. 5th gear popout, as well as a leaky tailight. I cant think of anything else but I am sure there is more.

Making sure it runs would be a good one. haha

5th gear is usually a nice commodity.

i have heard those fuel pumps tend to take a crap so watch that.

i know about the fifth gear problem, this car has transmission problem, witch is popout, other things i noticed is dented lower oil pan, the rear window looks like it might leak, and it seems hard to steer, i want to go look at it again more and look at it closer, like look for rust, and leaks just wondering the common areas

The power steering hose tends to shoot craps and leaks down on everything eating up anything rubber in its path. Watch the dented oil pan too. Thats a big deal on these cars since the oilpickup runs real close...a dented pan can mean a engine starving for oil

broken engine mounts, let's not forget those. nothing big, but they tend to be.
