Mine haven't done any such a thing. They are wonderful as dd tires. And I'm sure the RS3 being 225mm are better since they are wider and lower profile.

We are talking racing...

As a DD tire... Yeah I'm sure.

We tested a set and they fell apart after a few hours and didn't have nearly the grip as XS, RS3, StarSpec, etc.

You aren't pushing them to the limits then. They overheat and chunk... That is a fact.

Can't speak for those tires but there is a big difference when racing if you are pushing the tires and the car to the absolute limit. They call it the absolute limit of adhesion before flatspotting the tires while braking from extreme speed into a corner or while turning at extreme speed into that corner the car feels that it could spin as the rear rotates. There are only a very limited number of tires that could allow me to drive at those limits. NT-01s and RS3s are on that list. Check out the tread wear ratings on most serious track tires and the numbers are always below 200, average around 100-140 and if R compound rated have limited street use.
