If it's the same as the Streets, it's for the Eclipse/Talon, however, there seems to be a few different 'blue' pads. Blue 9012 and Blue MT4. I'm assuming it's Blue 9012.

I run XP10's on my NX

edit: just make sure your tires can withstand the hard braking

Yes Blue 9012. Some massaging needs to be done as Chris101 said but not drastic. And yes your tires need to be up to the task. For the street the HP+ will be fine for a turbo car. Turbo for the track, Blues only IMO if you are planning on doing plenty of driving there.

Ya I'm currently running the HPS on the street and they work great, but I'm going to be taking the car on a road course and want better pads. The blue's sound like a good option. It's either those or XP8/XP10. I think I'll get at least 2 new tires for the front. I'm thinking a pair of Hankook RS-3's so I can use them on the street as well after the event.

Do you have 15's? Only size in RS-3s are 225/45/15 and they are pretty wide. What are you running in the rears for tires on the track?

Yes, stock b14 wheels. Is wide not good on a track?

The rears will be my old 225-50-15 ZE-912's.

This is my first track event and it isn't a track car, so I'm looking for a good balance between safety/fun/cost.

Honestly having used nearly all of the pads mentioned in this thread on both NX2000 and Wilwood calipers the BEST brake pad I have ever used is the Performance Friction PFC01. It is an amazing compound with great initial bite, easy modulation, and is even pretty damn good in the wet!

HP+ and below are useless once you really start using the brakes, blues are good for the $, Carbotech's are also pretty good, but the PFC's are just better than all of them with what they offer for the $$$.

Wide is good with the appropriate rim. Minimum appropriate rim width for the RS3s is 7.5" according to Tire Rack even though several have run this tire on a 7" rim. Miata track cars run these on 15X8 rims with great sucess. The tire is that wide even on my 15X7.5" Konig Lightspeeds. The tire has a 140 treadwear rating and really need heat to be effective. Mixing these with the different compound and harder ZE-912s in the rear could cause handling issues even in your first event. Keep the same kind of tires front and rear for more predictable handling, ie RS3s front and rear or the ZE-912s in the same format. If this isn't a track car the RS3 may be a bit overkill for your 1st experience. Dunlop Direzza DZ-01 tires are a good choice for a street/track tire that you should try. Good in the wet, can be used as a daily drive tire and can hold up very well on the track.

Hmmm, I'm currently running the ZE-912's @ 225-50-15 on my stock B14 wheels. I know the wheels are a little 'short' for the tire.

Do you think the 205-50-15 Dunlop's would hold the power I'm making as well or better than the 912's @ 225?
