yup, it's been fine for us all these years in the g20 with a power steering cooler and synthetic royal purple steering fluid so that is what we'll do here as well

(approximately 25k of just track miles on the g20 with no power steering issues after the cooler and sythetic FWIW including double stinting the car on a 90 degree day!)

..and the car is getting an engine and trans installed today (never thought this day would arrive so it is pretty exciting)

...now all the hard work of getting everything properly connected and THEN to see if it all works and the car starts!!!! (much more work ahead!!)

working on the power steering cooler now...

...have the custom side exhaust all lined up ready to install as well.

Our friend Steve was over earlier to help get the engine lined up to the motor mounts and posted for a silly photo:

That power steering cooler is no joke. It should be fun soon.

You might be able to get away with a mild cam no? Like 10;1 cams or S2s. those are harder to find but not impossible.

I've run a P/S cooler like that for years. Not sure if it's the extra cooling or the extra volume of fluid that helps more. But it does help, a lot.

Thanks, gotta find room in the engine bay now. June event coming up this weekend so I'm hoping the stock PS setup can hold up in the 95-100 degree heat this one time. Then I can upgrade the cooler & replace the tired pump with a low mileage unit this summer before the August event.
