Plug covers
After much anticipation hree are some pictures of the infamous plug cover plate. This one is for the DE motors. As you can see we have yet to drill the hole for the bolt, I want to make sure I get this right the first time so Ill have the car in again tomorrow for measurements. This is the brushed finish. Ill post up a video of the laser doing its thing in a minute.

Pasting this from the old forum:

The plug cover may have a little issue with the OEM wires. Now keep in mind for our motors OEM Wires are just about the best and lowest in price, thus a lot of people will have them.

Here are the clearance with OEM wires:

It's not much, it may actually keep the plugs plugged in all the way, or the single screw might not be able to hold it all down. In the past a friend of mine has mentioned about welding on about 8 bolts to the cover to be able to use the GTi-R plug cover, I understand why now too (more mounting points to keep the plug cover down.

Should be ok ... hard to see but that is how flush it sits.

I cant wait to test this tomorrow. ill have the rubberized coating on as well as paint it black to match the motor, the engraving will have to be redone but should show through as silver. Picking up the bolts tonight.

Yep agreed, it shouldn't be too bad. I'm considering getting one to test it, but dunno what to engrave

I thought about both, but with the Valve cover having letters on it, it will look too busy. So plain black would probably look best

Is there any difference for RR or non-RR covers? I guess they're the same, right?
