T-top vs Hardtop side skirt clips & grommets
Fellow Nx owners:
Looking at Courtesy for the side skirt clips. And I am seeing 2 prices on some things (i.e. part# 76500J @ $1.66 or $2.69ea &
63830EA @ $4.23 or $5.35ea).
Not much info is given on each (lucky if you get a pic).
But I do notice a slight difference in what info they do give (i.e. part # 63830EA, the one listed at $4.23ea says "11/1990+ J/C F/AIR SPOILER" under it, & the other at $5.35ea says "11/1990+ J/C/T F/AIR SPOILER"). The "T" is the only difference.
So I call, after awhile and a few dumb questions from their end (really?) he claims the "T" stands for the T-top model and the other is for the hardtop coupe.
:???:
Now with that being said, is there really any difference in the skirt clips & grommets for them to be labeled separately and priced higher??

Having both cars, so I speak from experience,

No.

For everyone's future reference:
76500J - Is a plastic holder that is designed to have a screw through it.(The two 10mm bolts that hold on the side skirt end caps use these)

63830EA - Is a plastic holder that is designed to hold in a mushroom head plastic stud.(The plastic studs that the side skirt itself has go into these)

Exactly who I wanted to hear from, someone that has/had both.
Should've just tagged you in the first place lol

So no difference in all the skirt clips, grommets, etc., wonder why they ask over a $1 more for the "T-top version".... *smh*

But that's good to hear, can save a little $$ then lol.

when you say clips, do you mean the mushroom head plastic studs that are part of the side skirt? Because those you CAN'T buy separately from Nissan.

Those part numbers are for the holders, the plastic things that go in the body of the car.

I am needing a few of each- the plastic clips that are attached to the skirt themselves that snap into the grommet on the body and some of the grommets that are on the body as well, and the plastic ones on the bottom side of the body that the side skirts that the screws screw into.

So far I am needing:

2- 76500J GROMMET (male to body/female to skirt clip)
1- 63830EA GROMMET-SCREW (male to body/female to skirt)
?? amount unknown as of yet- 72812E CLIP (male to body grommet)

And possibly these too:
-72812EA

Hopefully this is all, as some of the 72812E clips have broken off inside some of the 76500J grommets. Will have to see if I can get them out.

Look at my post edit.

And Mud, I really do understand the simplicity that the courtesy website can be but please stop using it; for your sake and ours.

I even found you a better one that will give you officials Nissan parts diagrams and part numbers, even entered my vin for you, just bookmark this one.

Well I'll be damned, you found the studs.

Limited availability on them though.

lol I hate Courtesy, it is so vague imo... diagrams suck, then they rarely have actual pictures of their items (& in cases like this, you kinda need to be able to compare things).
Thanks for that link, I'll take a look around and start using it instead of courtesy.

Looks like they are using the same diagram & part #'s on the clips & grommets as courtesy.
