Don't give up man. I have been searching for a rust free unmollested NX for a long time (since about 2006). I missed a few sales because I wasn't able to make the trip for it. I finally had to fly down south and drive it back to Ohio with fake plates. I wouldn't buy a car without looking at it, certainly at the cost of having it shipped just to have it arrive not in the condition I hoped for. I got lucky that Mr. JohnnyWangwang sale posted at a holiday weekend or I never would have been able to swing it to make it down there. I gave up for a while and started looking for a spec v instead and almost made a move on one a couple days before flying down.

Mine's not rust free but it's got everything else you want. And it's fairly close. But I'm not selling just yet :P

^ I've done the 'fly n drive' multiple times (and long drive to pick up). Fortunately it has worked out more than once positively. But sadly, there are times cars are just not as one expected (difference of opinion for condition, etc.) so its simply best to see before you buy. I've just about lost count how many times I've gone really long distances only to go home empty handed because the car fs had way to many issues (including ability to even make the long drive back). I think the most expensive 'walk away' was around $500 driving 10 hours each way including a hotel nite stay (but it was still better to leave without the car in that particular case)

Yes, not all tunnels needs to be walked thru, despite how far you've gone in. You can always turn around and cut the loss

Yes, not all tunnels needs to be walked thru, despite how far you've already gone in. You can always turn around..

The thing is with this one, it needs new paint (red), it is 5-speed and T-tops, but this one is has 216,000 miles on it. Which means I'd prob drive it til the motor died and then take 2-3 months to put an DE-T in there or VE if I am feeling brave (VE swaps are harder IMO)

but who knows, waiting to hear back from the guy
